The Inauguration Ceremony of the Orientation Program of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies was held on the 5^th of February 2025 at the Sri Dharmaloka Hall, University of Kelaniya, and it will be continued till the 14^th of February 2025.

The ceremony was organized to welcome new undergraduates for the academic year 2023/2024.

Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya; Professor W. M. C. B. Wanninayake, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, Professor K. K. Thilakasiri, Senior Student Counselor of the Faculty; Dr. Kasun Fernando, Director of Student Affairs; and Mr. K. K. K. Dharmathilaka, Registrar; were key speakers who addressed new undergraduates.

The event was graced by Professor M. A. T. K. Munasinghe, Head of the Department of Accountancy; Professor H. A. K. N. S. Surangi, Head of the Department of Commerce and Financial Management; Prof. J. M. R. Fernando, Head of the Department of Finance, Dr. W. M. S. K. Wanigasekara, Head of the Department of Human Resource Management; Dr. S. S. J. Patabendige, Head of the Department of Marketing Management; and Academic, Administrative, Academic Support and Non-Academic Staff of the Faculty.
