Second “HRM Professional Fiesta”- Management Internship Branding and Certificate Awarding Ceremony organized by the Department of Human Resource Management, Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya was held on the 08^th of May 2018 at Samudra Training Hotel. The objectives of this ceremony were to review the experience the final year students gained through their internship and distribute certificates to the students who have successfully completed their internship. The event was organized under the subjects of Management Internship and HR Development Internship.

The ceremony consisted of two sessions. During the first session, the students’ research finding were promoted to industrial professionals. Accordingly, eight selected students presented their research findings to industry professionals and received constructive feedback and valued assistance from them to expand their research further.

The second session was an intellectual dialogue on industrial based training. The keynote speaker of this session was Mr. H.M.S. Sarath Kumara, Executive Director- Human Resources and Administration of Camso Loadstar (Pvt) Ltd. Later, an interactive session was conducted by the industry professionals who represented diverse business categories to share their thoughts on internship. Finally, the students were exposed to a review of the experiences they gained during the internship.

The event was held with the patronage of Senior Lecturer Dr. P.N.D. Fernando, Dean- Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies. Senior Lecturer Dr. D.U. Mohan, the then Head of the Department including the academic staff members of the Department, Senior Officers of the Institutes from which the undergraduates received internships and the final year students of the Department of HRM graced the event.
