The inauguration ceremony of Master of Commerce offered by the Department of Commerce and Financial Management, Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya was held on the 02^nd of September 2018 at the Faculty Board Room of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies. The event was held with the objective of introducing the course units and the academic staff members to newly enrolled students.

This is the 15^th batch of Master of Commerce who commenced their degree programme and their batch consists of nearly 30 students.

Prof. Ariyarathne Jayamaha, Dean- Faculty of Graduate Studies graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and the keynote address was delivered by Mr. Damith Gangodawilage (Desha Shakthi, Lanka Puthra, Vishwa Abhimani), Chief Executive Officer- Corporate Business (Pvt) Ltd. Moreover, Senior Lecturer Dr. P.N.D. Fernando, Dean- Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, Senior Lecturer Dr. S.M.A.K. Samarakoon, Coordinator of Master of Commerce programme, Senior Lecturer Dr. C.N. Wickramasinghe, Head- Department of Commerce and Financial Management, Prof. C. Pathirawasam, Mr. K.B.S.L. Wijerathne, Senior Assistant Registrar- Faculty of Graduate Studies were also present at the occasion.
