The inauguration ceremony of the 05^th intake of the Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management by the Department of Human Resource Management of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya was held on 09^th of June 2019 at the auditorium of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies.

Prof. D. M. Semasinghe, Vice-Chancellor presided over the event as the Chief Guest. The keynote address was delivered by Ms. Inoka Dias, Head- Human Resources of Pearson Lanka on the importance of pursuing education in the field of Human Resource Management.

Present at the occasion were  Senior Lecturer Dr. P.N.D. Fernando, Dean- Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, Senior Lecturer Dr. M. P. N. Janadari, Head- Department of Human Resource Management, Mr. Sanjeewa Dharmarathne, DIG/Executive Director - National Police Academy, Mr. W.P.J. Senadeera, Principal Administrative Officer- National Police Academy, Mr. Pulasthi Jayasekara, Coordinator- Police Academy, Senior Lecturer Ms. Y. M. S. W.V. Sangarandeniya, Coordinator of the programme,  academic staff members of the department and newly enrolled students.
