“Investment week-2019” presented by Finance Students’ Association of the Department of Finance was held from at the auditorium of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies.

On 25th November, Workshops on Financial Market were conducted and Senior Lecturer Dr. P.N.D. Fernando, Dean- Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies was the Chief Guest while, Mr.Vajira Wijegunawardane, Director General- Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka graced the occasion as an honorable guest.

Following that, on 26^th of November an Economic Forum was held based on the theme of “Turning around Sri Lanka.” Moreover, on 27^th of November, a seminar for the A/L Commerce students was conducted by the university lecturers. The objective of these chain of programs was to enhance the awareness of investment and financial markets of the community. Eventually, on 28^th of November, the Grand Finale of “Lord of Debates” and “Inter-University Finance Quiz” competition was held to marking the closing ceremony of Investment week 2019.

The staff and the undergraduates at the Department of Finance participated in the event.
