The staff members of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya donated food and other necessities to the patients at the Apeksha Hospital, Maharagama on the 31^st of December 2018.

This donation which was organized by the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies under the assistance of the whole University, was a relieving experience for the patients at the hospital.

4^th International Conference for Accounting Researchers and Educators- ICARE 2018 organized by the Department of Accountancy of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya was held on the 30^th of November 2018 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies.

The conference which was held under the theme of “Digital Disruption to Digital Readiness: The Future of Accountancy Profession”, provides a platform to both academia and practitioners to share their knowledge and experience to broaden the horizons of accounting discipline.

Students’ Finance Research Symposium 2018 organized for the 07th consecutive time by the Department of Finance of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya was held on the 28th of November 2018 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies. The symposium was held with the objective of developing research skills of the undergraduates who follow degree programmes at the Department of Finance.

Senior Lecturer Dr. M.M.M. Shamil, Department of Commerce & Financial Management delivered the keynote address of the event on the theme “Related Party of Disclosures”.
