A delegation from the “Pangea Geographical Association” and “Maharashtra Bhugolshastra Parishad” of Maharashtra, India visited the University of Kelaniya on 21^st November 2022.

The delegates were received by the Vice-Chancellor Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva at the Vice Chancellor’s Office.

The delegates discussed future collaboration to organize an International Conference on Geography at the beginning of the following year and to finalize the agenda and work plan of the conference.

The Pangea Bhugolshastra Parishad was represented by Dr. Praveen G. Sapatarshi, Chairman of the Association. Meanwhile, Prof. A. G. Amarasinghe, Head – of the Department of Geography, University of Kelaniya, Prof. Lal Mervin Dharmasiri, Senior Professor and Chair of Geography and Cadre Chair & Senior Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya were present at the discussion, representing the University of Kelaniya.
