Dr. Sudath Senarath was appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities for the 2^nd consecutive time.

The appointment letter was handed over to the Dean by the Cadre Chair & Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, at the Dean’s office of the Faculty of Humanities, on the 14^th of June 2023.

Dr. Sudath Senarath assumed duties amidst the blessings of the Maha Sangha. He has served as the Head of the Department of Linguistics, and the former Dean of the Faculty of Humanities prior to this appointment.

Dr. Sudath Senarath is a Senior Lecturer attached to the Department of Linguistics. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1995, Master of Philosophy Degree in 2003, and Doctor of Philosophy Degree in 2021, from the University of Kelaniya.

The ceremony was graced by Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, Deans of all the Faculties, Heads of all the Departments under the Faculty of Humanities, Directors of Units and Centers of the University, Registrar, Mr. K. K. K. Dharmathikala, Bursar, Mrs. U. T. M. I. D. Tennakoon and academic and non-academic staff members of the Faculty of Humanities.
