'Prabhā' Academic Journal 2023/2024, a collection of academic articles compiled by the junior academic staff of the Faculty of Humanities, was officially launched by the Faculty of Humanities, University of Kelaniya, on the 10^th of January 2025 at the Vice-chancellor’s Office.

Accordingly, the Journal was officially handed over to Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, who honoured the event as the Chief Guest.

This publication was initiated as a part of the Staff Development Program conducted for the Junior Academic Staff of the Faculty of Humanities. The objective of the event was to provide a platform for junior academics to engage in quality research, motivate them to publish their research work and disseminate their research findings to the greater academia.

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Sudath Senarath, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities; Consultant Editors for Prabhā 2023/2024, including Chair Professor Ven. Nabirittankadawara Gnanaratana Thero, Dr. Shashikala Assella, Dr. Udara de Silva (Former Coordinator of the Staff Development Unit, Faculty of Humanities), and Ven. Devagoda Piyarathana Thero (Current Coordinator of the Staff Development Unit, Faculty of Humanities); Editorial Board for Prabha 2023/2024; and contributors for Prabhā 2023/2024.
