The Inauguration Ceremony of the 7th International Conference on the Humanities (ICH) 2025, organized by the Faculty of Humanities, University of Kelaniya, was successfully held on November 27, 2025, at the Sri Dharmaloka Hall of the University. This year’s conference was centered on the theme ‘Reimagining Humanities: Evolving Perspectives.’

The event was graced by the presence of Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, who attended as the chief guest, while she also delivered the keynote address. The ceremony was further attended by Dr Sudath Senarath, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, along with academic staff members of the Faculty and conference presenters.

In addition, the Cultural Show 2025, organized by the Department of Fine Arts in parallel with ICH 2025, was held on the same day at the Sri Dharmaloka Hall, University of Kelaniya.
