The inauguration ceremony of the 28^th batch of the Diploma in Pali and Buddhist Studies was held on the 05^th of February 2019 at Kotahena Pragnakeerthi Memorial Hall.

The event was held under the patronage of the Vice- Chancellor, Prof. D.M. Semasinghe. Present at the occasion were Prof. Patrick Rathnayake, Dean- Faculty of Humanities, Ven. Prof. Therele Dhammarathana Thero, Head- Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies, Prof. Uditha Garusinghe, Coordinator of the Diploma, academic staff members of the Department and the newly enrolled students.

The Keynote address of the event was delivered by Ven. Dr. Deniyaye Pagnaloka Thero.
