The Academic book of Emeritus Senior Prof. Sumanapala Galmangoda was launched on 14^th of January, 2020 at K-14 - conference room. Emeritus Senior Prof. Oliver Abenayake  graced the event as the chief guest. 

Moreover, the main objective of the event was to value the service done by  Emeritus Prof. Sumanapala Galmangoda while, the event was organized by the Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies, Faculty of Humanities.

Prof. D.M. Semasinghe, Vice - Chancellor, University of Kelaniya graced the event as the chief guest while other honorable guests present at the occasion were Prof. Patrick Ratnayake, Dean- Faculty of Humanities, Ven. Senior Prof. Tharale Dhammarathana Thero, Head- Department of Pali & Buddhist Studies, ven. Dr. Dodamkumbure Dhammadassi Thero, Director- ICCMS, Academic staff members, Mr. W.M. Karunarathna, Registrar, Non-academic staff members & the undergraduates of the Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies along with invitees and general public took part in the occasion.
