Ceremonial Handover of the Ayati National Centre for Children with Disabilities

The Ayati Center- Sri Lanka’s first National Center for Children with Disabilities, was ceremonially handed over by the Sri Lankan Army to the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Kelaniya and Ayati Trust Sri Lanka on the 18th of July 2019.

The event was held under the patronage of the Vice- Chancellor, Prof. D.M. Semasinghe and it was presided over by Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake, Commander of the Army as the Chief Guest. Present at the occasion were Prof. Prashantha S. Wijesinghe, Dean- Faculty of Medicine, Heads of the Departments and academic staff members of the Faculty of Medicine, Major General Kumudu Perera, Deputy Chief of the Army, Major General Indrajith Vidyananda, Quarter Master General of the Army, Major General Tissa Nanayakkara, Chief Field Engineer of the Army, Mr. Abbas Esufally, Trustee, Mr. Ajay Amalean, Trustee, Mr. Roshan Mahanama, Trustee, Mrs. Shiromi Masakorala, General Manager- Hemas Holdings PLC and undergraduates of the Faculty of Medicine.
