The official launch of the Centre for NCD Epidemiology organized by the Department of Public Health of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya was held on the 19^th of September 2019 at the Hotel Cinnamon Lakeside.

The event was presided over by the Vice- Chancellor, Prof. D.M. Semasinghe as the Chief Guest. Present at the occasion were Dr. Palitha Gunarathna- Director General of Health Services, academic staff members, foreign academics and researchers.
