The Department of Industrial Management, University of Kelaniya, and Mastercard Sri Lanka signed an MoU on the 15^th of August 2023 at the Vice Chancellor’s office at the University of Kelaniya

to promote studies and research on digital transformation.

The collaborative partnership was established to advance studies and research on digital transformation jointly and more effectively. The signed MoU paves the way for Mastercard Digital Excellence Award for the most outstanding studies and research relating to digital transformation and internship opportunities in the Mastercard Technology Centre in Bangalore, India, for selected students.

The MoU was signed by Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, Mr. K. K. K. Dharmathilaka, the Registrar of the University and Mr. Sandun Hapugoda, Country Manager, Mastercard Sri Lanka and Maldives. The event was witnessed by Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, Mr. K.K.K. Dharmathilake, Registrar of the University, Professor Janaka Wijayanayake, Head of the Department of Industrial Management, Mr. Sandun Hapugoda, Country Manager, Mastercard Sri Lanka and Maldives, Dr. Dharmasri Kumaratunge, Consultant, Public Policy Mastercard and Ms. Mahesha Amarasuriya, Director of Mastercard Sri Lanka, along with the staff of the Department of Industrial Management.
