A stakeholder workshop for the revision of the curriculum of BSc in Environmental Conservation and Management, BSc (honours) in Environmental Conservation and Management and BSc (honours) in Zoology degree programmes was held on the 04^th of September 2019 at Hotel Clarion, Kiribathgoda.

The inauguration ceremony was presided over by the Vice chancellor, Prof. D.M. Semasinghe as the Chief Guest. Present at the occasion were Prof. B.M. Jayawardena, Dean- Faculty of Science, Heads of the Departments of the Faculty of Science and the members of the academic staff.

Many eminent scientists representing other universities and national institutions, reputed personnel who are serving in the fields of zoology and environmental management related areas in the private sector, past and present students participated as the invited stakeholders.  The inauguration of the event was followed by group discussion sessions and presentations which provided invaluable comments and suggestions towards the revision of the curriculum of the degree programmes offered by the Department of Zoology and Environmental Management.
