Mr. Robert Gunawardena's personal collection of palm leaf manuscripts was donated to the Palm Leaf Manuscripts and Research Library which is affiliated to the Faculty of Social Science of the University of Kelaniya

by his son Mr. Vijith Rupasinghe Gunawardena on 04^th October 2022.

These donations were made at the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Social Sciences under the patronage of Prof. M. M. Gunathilake, Dean – Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kelaniya. Present at the occasion were Senior Prof. M. K. Weerasinghe, Director - Palm Leaf Manuscripts and Research Library, and Lecturer Ven. Bopeththe Somananda Thero, Department of Library and Information Science.

Senior Lecturer Ven. Galkande Dhammananda Thero, of the Department of History, coordinated the event.
