Launching ceremony of the book titled “pustakāla hā vignāpana vidyā sisun san̆dahā toraturu saha sannivēdana tākṣaṇaya” (Information and Communication Technology for Library and Information Science Students).

This book authored by Senior Lecturer Nadeeka Rathnabahu and Mr. Nimal Hettiarachchi was held on the 14th of October 2022 at the Board Room of Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kelaniya.

The Launching ceremony was chaired by the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Professor M. M. Gunatilake, the Head of the Department of Library and Information Science (DLIS), Senior Professor M. K. Weerasinghe, Senior Professor W. A. Weerasooriya, and the Librarian of the University of Kelaniya, Dr. C. C. Jayasundara.

Staff members of the Department of Library and Information Science, the Head of the Department of Sociology, Dr. D. M. Ubesekara Dissanayake &  Professor K. M. Geethani Amarathunga, and other distinguished invitees graced the occasion. Senior Lecturer Dr. Namali Suraweera delivered a special speech at the occasion, mentioning about the book. The very first copy of the book was handed over to the Vice–Chancellor of the University, Senior Professor Nilanthi De Silva, at the Vice Chancellor's Office on 13^th of October 2022.
