A seminar on “Protest, Repression, and People’s Politics” was held on the 04^th of October 2022 at the Boardroom of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Kelaniya.

It was organized by the Political Science Student’s Association of the Department of Political Science.

The objective of this seminar was to raise awareness and to hold a discussion among students on the prevailing political situation of the country. The resource person of the seminar was Prof. Arjuna Parakrama, University of Peradeniya.

Prof. M. M. Gunathilake, Dean - the Faculty of Social Sciences, Senior Lecturer Yamuna Mendis, Head – Department of Political Science, other members of the academic staff, and undergraduates of the Department of Political Sciences attended the event.
