The 5^th International Studies Students’ Research Symposium (ISSRS) 2022 organized by the International Studies Students’ Association of the Department of International Studies was held on 11^th November 2022

at the Faculty of Social Sciences Auditorium, University of Kelaniya. The theme of this year’s symposium was “International Cooperation in achieving Sustainable Development”.

The chief guest and the Keynote speaker of the symposium was Dr. George Cooke, Senior Lecturer-Department of International Relations, University of Colombo. Senior Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, Vice Chancellor, University of Kelaniya graced the event as the Guest of Honor. Deans of Faculties, Heads of Departments, and Faculty staff attended the opening ceremony. Over 60 research papers from different universities, both local and international were presented at the Symposium. Ms. M. Kalara Nethmini Perera and Ms. R. Ravihari from the University of Colombo won the award for the best paper.
