A group of reverends (Prospective teachers studying in the 1st-year) at the Sariputta National College of Education, Nittambuwa visited the Palm Leaf Manuscript Study and Research Library of the University of Kelaniya

to familiarize themselves with palm leaf manuscript preservation and writing techniques on the 10^th of November 2022.

Senior Prof. M. K. Weerasinghe, Director – Palm Leaf Manuscript Study and Research Library welcomed the guests while Prof. M. M. Gunathilake, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences also shared his thoughts at the occasion. Moreover, Ven. Hemmathagama Piyadassi Thero introduced the history of Palm Leaf Manuscripts while Mr. Samitha Priyadarshana conducted a practical session on manuscript writing techniques and preservation.

Mr. W. H. K. P. J. Wanigasundara, Dean, Coordinator Lecturer Ven. Ampe Wimaladhamma Thero, and Mr. J. P. C. Wedasinghe, the Librarian, participated in this occasion, representing the Sariputta National College of Education.
