A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the University of Kelaniya and the Sri Lanka Anti-Doping Agency (SLADA) on the 11th of August 2023

at the office of the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya.

Cadre Chair & Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya along with Professor M. M. Gunathilake, the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, and Ms. M. K. A. Anoma Rathnayaka, the Head of the Department of Sport Science and Physical Education of the Faculty of Social Sciences signed MoU on behalf of the University of Kelaniya while Professor Arjuna De Silva, Chairman of SLADA, Dr. Shiroma Pilapitiya De Alwis, Director General signed the MoU on behalf of the Sri Lanka Anti-Doping Agency.

 Present at the occasion were Lecturer Mr. W. M. R. K. Weerakoon, the Coordinator of the MoU from the Department of Sport Science and Physical Education, Senior Lecturer Dr. P. D. V. Charika Wickramarathne and Lecturer W. M. A. M. Jayawardhane, academic staff of the Department of Sport Science and Physical Education, and representatives from the Sri Lanka Anti-Doping Agency.
