A special workshop on makeup and prosthetic organized by the Department of Mass Communication, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kelaniya was held on the 01^st of October 2018 at the Audio Visual Studio of the Department of Mass Communication.

Mr. Davy Tones and Ms. Abbie Bingham, two veteran makeup artists from United Kingdom were the resource persons of this workshop which was held with the objective of improving the knowledge of the undergraduates who follow Film Studies. It was a great success as a result of the theoretical activities carried out along with the practical activities.

The workshop aimed at the undergraduates who follow the course units on Film Studies under Bachelor of Arts (special) Degree in Mass Communication and Bachelor of Arts (special) Degree in Film and Television.

Senior Lecturer Mr. Aruna Lokuliyana, Head- Department of Mass Communication including its academic staff members also graced the event.

Mr. Davy Tones and Ms. Abbie Bingham received souvenirs from the Department of Mass Communication and it was offered to them by the Head of the Department of Mass Communication.
