The launch of the Journal of International Studies 2018, ‘Siwdesa’ magazine and Policy Papers of the Youth Conference on International Relations 2018 organized by the Department of International Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kelaniya was held on the 12^th of February 2019 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Social Sciences.

The launch was held with the objective of improving the research and analytical skills of the undergraduates of the Department of International Studies while improving their academic writing skills and knowledge on current affairs.

Present at the occasion were Senior Lecturer J.T.S. Gunasena, Head- Department of International Studies, Heads of the Departments of Faculty of Social Sciences, academic staff members of the Department of International Studies and the undergraduates.
