Two new Heads of Departments assumed duties on the 15^th of February 2019. The appointment letters were handed over to the Heads by the Vice- Chancellor, Prof. D.M. Semasinghe at the Office of the Vice- Chancellor.

Ven. Prof. Induragare Dammarathana Thero was assigned as the Head of the Department of Sanskrit & Eastern Studies senior Lecturer Sithara Priyadarshana was designated as the Head of the Department of International Studies.

Present at the occasion were Senior Prof. Lakshman Senevirathne, Deputy Vice- Chancellor, Prof. Patrick Rathnayake, Dean- Faculty of Humanities and Mr. W.M. Karunaratne, Registrar.
