Inauguration of Diploma in Geographic Information Systems:The inauguration ceremony of the 02^nd batch of Diploma in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) offered by the Department of Geography, University of Kelaniya was held on the 24^th of February at the Board Room of the Faculty of Social Sciences.

The event was held under the patronage of Senior Lecturer Dr. Nishan Sakalasooriya, Head- Department of Geography. Present at the occasion were Prof. Lal Mervin Dharmasiri, and Lecturer Sampath Arunashantha, Coordinator of the diploma, academic staff members of the department and newly enrolled students.
