A special guest lecture on “Can SAARC and BIMSTEC go the ASEAN way” organized by the Department of Social Statistics, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kelaniya was held on the 27^th of March 2019 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Social Sciences.

This was held with the objective providing awareness about SAARC and BIMSTEC to the community.

The guest lecture was conducted by Prof. Reena Marwah, ICCSR Senior Fellow, Centre for the Study of Developing Studies, New Delhi.

Present at the occasion were Senior Lecturer Dr. Manjula Gunarathna, Head- Department of Social Statistics, Prof. M.M. Gunathilake, Head- Department of Economics, academic staff members and undergraduates.
