Awareness Creation Workshop for Local Government Representatives was held on 07^th of January, 2020 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Social Sciences.

The event was organized by the Department of Political Science.

The main objective of the program was to build a platform for local government representatives to discuss the issues that they are facing in ground level while practicing their role. Apart from that, the journal of Political Science students was also launched at the occasion. 

The honorable guests present at the occasion were Dr. Dhamma Dissanayake, University of Colombo along with Prof. Nawarathna Bandara, University of Peradeniya and  M.Y.N. Mendis, Head - Department of Political Sciences, University of Kelaniya.

Moreover, academic staff and undergraduates of the Department of Political Science along with invitees took part in the occasion.
