The Aerobics Gymnastics team of the University of Kelaniya achieved an impressive second place in the mixed category under the Gold Category, at the Gym for Life Challenge Tournament – 2024. The event was held on the 15^th of July 2024, at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium.

With this triumphant performance, the team qualified for the final preliminary round, which was held on the 16^th of July 2024. Competing against 53 teams, they secured an overall 4^th place in the finals. This remarkable achievement comes in only their second participation in the Gym for Life Challenge Tournament, having won the Silver Category last year.

This year, their performance, themed around Angampora, earned them a prestigious 4^th place in the overall Gold Category. This significant accomplishment underscores the rapid success of the university's aerobics gymnastics program, which began just two years ago.
