The University Grants Commission has just opened applications for admission to undergraduate programs offered by state universities, for those who sat the GCE Advanced Level examination in 2020.

This year, the University of Kelaniya offers five new Honours degree programs in addition to all the programs of study that have been offered in the past. Five unique and innovative programs, to be offered by the Faculties of Science, Commerce & Management Studies, and Medicine, have been formulated by the University’s academics, after much careful thought supported by extensive stakeholder surveys. The programs are designed to build diverse competencies among graduates, starting with a sound understanding of the principles and theories relevant to their chosen field and enabling them to apply this understanding and practical competencies to the problems that they will encounter when they enter the world of work.
