Another Session of presenting Senate Awards and Cash Prizes to appreciate the researchers at the University of Kelaniya was held on the 24^th of August 2023 at the Senate Room of the university.

Researchers whose papers were published in internationally recognized journals were appreciated and the Senate Awards and Cash Prizes were awarded to the researchers by Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the university. Moreover, Deans of the Faculties, Heads of the Departments, and members of the Senate graced the event.

Dr. A. G. Padmapani Megalatha Padeniya of the Department of Anatomy, Dr. Nimisha Muttiah of the Department of Disability Studies, Ms. Hithanadura Jayalath Ruwindi Lakmina Silva of the Department of Biochemistry & Clinical Chemistry were the awardees from the Faculty of Medicine.

Mr. P. H. P. R. De Silva, Prof. R. A. S. P. Senanayake, Prof. R. M. C. S. Ratnayake, Prof. R. N. Attanayake, Dr. H. M. Herath, Dr. R. P. Wanigatunge, Ms. Priyangi Edirisinghe of the Department of Plant and Molecular Biology and Prof. U. P. K. Epa of the Department of Zoology & Environmental Management were the awardees from the Faculty of Science.

Ms. M. K. A. Anoma Rathnayaka of the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education was the awardee from the Faculty of Social Sciences.
