Another Session of presenting Senate Awards and Cash Prizes to appreciate the researchers at the University of Kelaniya was held on the 26^th of October 2023 at the Senate Room of the university.

Researchers whose papers were published in internationally recognized journals were appreciated and the Senate Awards and Cash Prizes were awarded to the researchers by Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya. Moreover, the Deans of the Faculties, Heads of the Departments, and members of the Senate graced the event.

Professor Miyuru Chandradasa of the Department of Psychiatry was the awardee from the Faculty of Medicine.

Professor L. D. Amarasinghe of the Department of Zoology and Environmental Management, Professor I. V. N. Rathnayake, and Ms. Y. H. K. I. S. Gunasinghe of the Department of Microbiology, Dr. M. P. Deeyamulla of the Department of Chemistry, Professor R. M. C. S. Ratnayake of the Department of Plant and Molecular Biology, Dr. K. C. Ayanthi of the Department of Industrial Management were the awardees from the Faculty of Science.
