A University of Kelaniya Student for the South Asian Karate Championship

P. G. Dinuwara Randil Perera a 3rd year student of the Department of Marketing Management, Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya is participating in the 7th South Asian Karate Championship at Kathmandu, Nepal from 28th November to 10th December.
He received a budget of LKR 390, 000 from the University, and the occasion was graced by Senior Professor Nilanthi De Silva, Vice Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, Senior Professor Sudath Kalingamudali, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Mr. G. G. U. Saman Kumara, Actg. Director of Physical Education, Secretary General of the Sports Advisory Board, and Ms. G. A. Sarani Gayathree Godamune, Instructor in Physical Education and Member of the Sports Advisory Board.
His former achievements were being a bronze medallist at the South Asian Karate Championship in 2019, Best Karate Athlete in UoK 2022, and a gold medal and two silver medals at SLUG 2023. He is also a current national team athlete, and his national ranking is No. 1.
