Another Session of presenting Senate Awards and Cash Prizes to appreciate the researchers at the University of Kelaniya was held on the 29^th of November 2023 at the Senate Room of the university.

Researchers whose papers were published in internationally recognized journals were appreciated and the Senate Awards and Cash Prizes were awarded to the researchers by Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya. Moreover, the Deans of the Faculties, Heads of the Departments, and members of the Senate graced the event.

Prof. A. Chamaru De Alwis of the Department of Human Resources Management, Prof. K. K. Tilakasiri of the Department of Accountancy, and Dr. M. Shamil of the Department of Commerce and Financial Management were the awardees from the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies.

Dr. Navodi Mekhala Hakmanage of the Department of Computer Systems Engineering and Dr. Madampe Hettiarachchige Muditha Rangani Tissera of the Department of Software Engineering were the awardees from the Faculty of Computing and Technology.

Senior Prof. Ranjan Premaratne of the Department of Medicine, Dr. Pavithra Godamunne, and Dr. Kaumudee Kodikara of the Department of Medical Education were the awardees from the Faculty of Medicine.

Senior Prof. L. D. Amarasinghe and Prof. U. P. K. Epa of the Department of Zoology and Environmental Management and Prof. Suranga R. Wickramarachchi of the Department of Chemistry were the awardees from the Faculty of Science.

Mr. Anupa Jayawardhana of the Department of Sport Science and Physical Education was the awardee from the Faculty of Social Sciences.
