Another session of presenting Senate Awards and Cash Prizes to appreciate the researchers at the University of Kelaniya was held on the 28^th of December 2023 at the Senate Room of the university.

Researchers whose papers were published in internationally recognized journals were appreciated and the Senate Awards and Cash Prizes were awarded to the researchers by Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya. Moreover, the Deans of the Faculties, Heads of the Departments, and members of the Senate graced the event.

Senior Professor N. A. K. P. J. Seneviratne of the Department of Chemistry, Senior Professor L. D. Amarasinghe and Professor Vithanage Primali Anuruddhika Weerasinghe of the Department of Zoology and Environmental Management, Professor R. M. C. S. Ratnayake, Professor Dinushani Anupama Daranagama, Dr. K. H. W. L. de Silva of the Department of Plant and Molecular Biology, Mr. Janaka Maduwantha Dias Senanayake and Ms. Agostheenu Paris Kankanamalage Jinendri Prasadika of the Department of Industrial Management were the awardees from the Faculty of Science.
