Another session of presenting Senate Awards and Cash Prizes to appreciate the researchers at the University of Kelaniya was held on the 22^nd of February 2024 at the Senate Room of the university.

Researchers whose papers were published in internationally recognized journals were appreciated and the Senate Awards and Cash Prizes were awarded to the researchers by Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya. Moreover, the Deans of the Faculties, Heads of the Departments, and members of the Senate graced the event.

Professor A. Chamaru De Alwis and Dr. K. G. Priyashantha of the Department of Human Resources Management were the awardees from the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies.                                                          

Dr. Kaumudee Kodikara of the Department of Medical Education was the awardee from the Faculty of Medicine.      

Professor P. A. S. R. Wickramarachchi of the Department of Chemistry and Dr. K. H. W. L. De Silva of the Department of Plant and Molecular Biology were the awardees from the Faculty of Science.
