Delegation from Edge Hill University UK visits University of Kelaniya

Professor George Talbot, Pro Vice-chancellor (Research & KE), and Ms. Kate Arnold, Head of International Operations and Administration, Edge Hill University, UK, visited the University of Kelaniya on the 2nd of December 2024.
They met with Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-chancellor of the University of Kelaniya; Senior Professor Sudath Kalingamudali, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Acting Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies; and Professor Bandara Wanninayake, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce & Management Studies, to discuss matters of common interest to both universities and possible modes of future collaboration in terms of academic exchange, research partnerships, and other academic activities.
Edgehill University of Glasgow is one of the oldest in Scotland and is ranked in the 800–1000 category in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025 and was named Modern University of the Year in The Times Good University Guide 2022. Several other senior academics from the University of Kelaniya joined the discussions.
