Another session of presenting Senate Awards and Cash Prizes to appreciate the researchers at the University of Kelaniya was held on the 24^th of April 2025 at the Senate Room of the university.

Researchers whose papers were published in internationally recognized journals, were appreciated and the Senate Awards and Cash Prizes were awarded to the researchers by Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-chancellor of the University of Kelaniya. Moreover, the deans of the faculties, heads of the departments, and members of the Senate graced the event.

Dr. D. M. N. S. W. Dissanayake from the Department of Commerce and Financial Management was the awardee from the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies.

Prof. Kavinda Dayasiri from the Department of Paediatrics, Dr. A. A. L. K. Athauda from the Department of Public Health, and Ms. Maheeka Bashini Solangaarachchige from the Computer Center were the awardees from the Faculty of Medicine.

Prof. Jeewantha Premaratne from the Department of Chemistry, and Prof. U. P. K. Epa and Dr. Gayani Rajapaksha from the Department of Zoology and Environmental Management were the awardees from the Faculty of Science.

Dr. D. L. I. H. K. Peiris from the Department of Sport Science and Physical Education was the awardee from the Faculty of Social Sciences.

Dr. B. M. Thosini Kumarika and Mr. R. A. P. S. Rajapaksha from the Department of Statistics and Computer Science of the Faculty of Science were awarded Senate Honours for the Scopus-Indexed Conference Full Papers.
