The 150^th General Convocation of the University of Kelaniya was held ceremoniously on the 14^th of July 2025 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Colombo.

The convocation ceremony consisted of 03 sessions. During the 1^st session, 18 graduands of the Bachelor of Commerce (Special) Degree and 36 graduands of the Bachelor of Business Management (General) Degree, offered by the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies; 03 graduands of the Bachelor of Science (General) Degree, offered by the Faculty of Science; 11 graduands of the Bachelor of Arts Degree, offered by the Faculty of Humanities; 452 graduands of the Bachelor of Arts Degree, offered by the Faculty of Social Sciences; and 02 graduands of the Master of Arts Degree, offered by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, were conferred.

During the 2^nd session, 263 graduands of the Bachelor of Arts Degree, offered by the Faculty of Humanities, and 267 graduands of the Bachelor of Arts Degree, offered by the Faculty of Social Sciences, were conferred.

During the 3rd session, 530 graduands of the Bachelor of Arts Degree, offered by the Faculty of Social Sciences were conferred.

Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, Chief Incumbent of the Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara, Kithsiri Mewan Vihara, Former Head of the Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies, Aggamahapandit, Most Ven. Prof. Kollupitiye Mahinda Sangharakkitha Maha Thera; Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, the Vice-chancellor of the University of Kelaniya; Deans of the Faculties; Heads of the Departments; Registrar; Librarian; Directors and Chairpersons of the Units and Centers; Academic and Non-Academic Staff; graduands; and their families graced the event.
