The retirement ceremony of Mrs. Amali Kudahetti and Mrs. H. G. Sriya Wasanthi, who served as Senior Staff Management Assistants at the Academic Division of the University of Kelaniya, was held on August 22, 2025, at the Senate Room of the University of Kelaniya. Mrs. Amali Kudahetti retired on August 10, 2025, after 36 years of service, while Mrs. H. G. Sriya Wasanthi retired on August 15, 2025, after 29 years of service.

Organized by the Academic Division, the event was held under the precedence of Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya. Distinguished guests included Senior Professor S. R. D. Kalingamudali, Dean of the Faculty of Science; Senior Professor Patrick Rathnayake, Department of Drama, Cinema and Television; Mr. K. K. K. Dharmathilake, Registrar of the University of Kelaniya; Mr. B. A. N. Krishantha, Registrar of the Gampaha Wickramarachchi Indigenous Medicine University; and Mr. C. G. Kothalawala, Bursar of the same university.

Also in attendance were Mrs. Shyamika Hapuhinna, Deputy Registrar of the Academic Division, together with non-academic staff members of the division, including Mr. Ranjith Pieris, Mr. Ranga Meegoda, Mr. Rohitha Dananjaya, and Mr. Mahinda Perera, as well as other executive officers and non-academic staff members of the University of Kelaniya.
