Senior Professor Chamindi Dilkushi Senaratne (Wettewe) of the Department of English Language Teaching, University of Kelaniya, was honored with the Silver Award in the category of Higher Education – Language and Literature at the National Educator Awards 2025.

The awarding ceremony, organized by the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT), was held on 26th November 2025 at the Monarch Imperial, Sri Lanka. This national recognition celebrates her outstanding excellence in teaching, scholarly work, and significant contribution to the advancement of Language and Literature in higher education.
