The convocation staff of the University of Kelaniya were commended during the Convocation Staff Felicitation Ceremony held on 1 January 2026 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Social Sciences.

The ceremony, held under the patronage of Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, was organized with the objective of recognizing the notable contributions of university staff members to the advancement of the University.

The convocation staff members were commended in appreciation of the valuable service rendered towards the successful organization and completion of convocations of the University of Kelaniya over the past five years. Accordingly, approximately 120 staff members received commendations during the ceremony.
