The award of air tickets to non- academic staff members who are to participate in the Chinese language and cultural workshop, “Winter Camp” in China was held on the 12th of October 2018 at the Office of the Vice- Chancellor.

The event will be held from the 22nd of October to 04th of November 2018 at the Chong Qing University premises in China. The specialty of this workshop is that all the participants will obtain an opportunity to engage in practical activities relevant to Chinese language and culture. 10 non- academic staff members from the University of Kelaniya will take part in the workshop and the visit will be coordinated by the Confucius Institute, University of Kelaniya.

Prof. D.M. Semasinghe, Vice- Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya distributed the air tickets and Senior Prof. Lakshman Senevirathne, Deputy Vice- Chancellor, Senior Lecturer Dr. Kumari Jayasooriya, Director- Confucius Institute, Assistant Prof. Wang Wanxia, Co- Director- Confucius Institute, Mr. W.M. Karunarathne, Registrar and academic staff members graced the event.
