Discussion between the University of Kelaniya and the High Commission of India

A discussion between the University of Kelaniya and the High Commission of India was held on the 04th of September 2018 at the Office of the Vice- Chancellor. The discussion was held with the objective of strengthening the relationship between the University of Kelaniya and the High Commission of India and the ideas were exchanged on collaborative research and projects based on Indian folk music. Special attention was paid on seeking the assistance of the High Commission of India and the Indian Cultural Centre for the research projects.
Prof. D.M. Semasinghe, Vice- Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, Mrs. Ragesh Sri Behera, Director- Swami Vipulananda Research Centre and High Commission of India to Sri Lanka, G.M. Chatterji, Director- Academy of Indian Folk Music participated in the discussion. Prof. Prashanthi Narangoda, Head- Department of Fine Arts coordinated the visit.
