Discussion between the University of Kelaniya and the Michigan State University, USA was held on the 17^th of December 2018 at the Office of the Vice- Chancellor. Exploring the possibilities of future collaborations, especially in undergraduate training and encouraging research collaborations between the two universities.

The discussion was led by Prof. D.M. Semasinghe, Vice- Chancellor representing the University of Kelaniya and Prof. Sherman Garnett, Dean- James Madison College & Prof. Linda Racioppi, Associate Dean for Research International Relations- James Madison College representing the Michigan State University.

Present at the occasion were Prof. P.S. Wijesinghe, Dean- Faculty of Medicine, Prof. A.R. Wickramasinghe, Senior Lecturer Dr. Wasanthi Subasinghe, Senior Lecturer Dr. Chandima Bogahawatte and Senior Lecturer Saman Bandujeewa.
