Delegation Visit by the Embassy of France in Sri Lanka

Mr. Jean-Philippe Gavois, Cultural and Cooperation Counsellor and Ms. Mélina Guerras, Attaché for Cooperation and Education of the Embassy of France in Sri Lanka visited the University of Kelaniya on the 22nd of January 2019 to discuss about future cooperation and disseminate information about the Educational Fair title ‘Choose France’ which will take place on the 29th of January 2019 at the Hotel Hilton, Colombo.
Further discussions were held on scholarships for Masters and short term training and the selection of an Intern for teaching of French at the university. The delegates were also informed about the visit of H.E. the Ambassador for France to the university in the near future and a donation of books to the French Studies Section of the Department of Modern Languages.
The meeting was held at the Department of Modern Languages attended by Prof. Neelakshi C. Premawardhena, Director, International Affairs, Senior Lecturer Dr. Dilrukshi Rathnayake, Head Department of Modern Languages, Prof. Niroshini Gunasekara, staff members, student representatives of the French Studies Section, Ms. Sashini Chandraseka, Coordinator for International Cooperation, Ms. Dulshani Gopaluwewa, Coordinator for International Student Affairs.
The meeting was organised by the Department of Modern Languages.
