The ceremony for the appreciation of the two retired professors: Ven. Prof. Kollupitiye Mahinda Sangharakkitha Thero and Emeritus Prof. Sumanapala Galmangoda of the Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies, University of Kelaniya was held on the 13^th of February 2019 at K2 108 hall.

The event was held under the patronage of the Vice- Chancellor, Prof. D.M. Semasinghe. Present at the occasion were Senior Prof. Lakshman Senevirathne, Deputy Vice- Chancellor, Prof. Patrick Rathnayake, Dean- Faculty of Humanities, Senior Lecturer Ven. Dr. Dodamkumbure Dhammadassi Thero, Director- ICCMS, Ven. Prof. Therele Dhammarathana Thero, Head- Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies and its academic staff members.
