Erasmus+ Merging Voices Project Grantee from Portugal:

Mr. Paulo Reynaud Silva, Sports Officer from New University of Lisbon (Universidade NOVA de Lisboa) Portugal was on one week staff mobility from 25^th to 29^th March 2019 at the Department of Physical Education, University of Kelaniya.

A meeting with the Vice- Chancellor Prof. D.M. Semasinghe was held on the 28th March 2019 at the Office of the Vice Chancellor. Present at the occasion were Prof. Neelakshi C. Premawardhena, Director- International Affairs, Mr. Sameera Wijayagunaratne, Physical Education Instructor, Department of Physical Education and Ms. Sashini Chandrasekara, Coordinator, International Cooperation.

During the mobility period Mr. Silva studied the activities and functions of the Department of Physical Education, held meetings with the Sports Advisory Board and students and attended several student training sessions. Visits were also arranged to the National Olympic Committee and significant sporting venues in Colombo. The mobility was coordinated by the Acting Director Mr. G.G.U. Saman Kumara and Mr. Sameera Wijayagunaratne of the Department of Physical Education and the Centre for International Affairs.
