Senior Lecturer Dr. Ajith Dissanayaka of the Department of Economics, University of Kelaniya was awarded the Best Paper Award for his research paper presentation on “Income Distribution and Incidence of Poverty in Sri Lanka”, at the 2^nd International Conference on Multidisciplinary Academic Research (ICMAR- 2019) conducted by the Asia Pacific Institute of Advanced Research.

The conference was held from the 21^st to 23^rd of June in Bali, Indonesia. It was attended by 256 academic researchers on Technology, Business, Education and Social Sciences, representing 16 Asia- Pacific countries.
