The inauguration ceremony of the peer counselling certificate course was held on the 02^nd of July 2019 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Social Sciences. It was held with the objective of initiating peer counseling habits among the students.

Present at the occasion were Prof. D.M. Semasinghe, Vice- Chancellor, Senior Prof. Lakshman Senevirathne, Deputy Vice- Chancellor, Dr. S.S. Weligamage, Director- Kalana Mithuru Sevana, Counsellors and newly enrolled undergraduates.
